Spider Man 3 was a total flop. Sorry to ruin anyone's weekend plans of seeing this 258 Million dollar clunker. But I was so excited to see this movie that I can't help but bash away. I don't understand why Sandman was.....oh geez, I'll spare you the comic book geekness from my youth.

Soon after the 12 noon showing, which by the way was attended by exactly 5 people, I headed off to downtown San Jose to start setting up for the show we(plea for peace) were setting up. The exact same show sold out(400 people) the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco two days earlier on the hardest night to do shows(Monday) at a $15 ticket. So here we are trying our best to bring a big show to San Jose and though it was amazing, I couldn't help but wonder why we only had 197 people pay on a $10 ticket. It proves to me that once again, San Jose is second to San Francisco.

I remember about 10 years ago, ROCKET FROM THE CRYPT played the FILLMORE in SF and sold it out at 1,100 people and then the very next night played the EDGE in Palo Alto to around 400. And I talked to the promoter that night and he said "Well, we're the south bay". And I thought....Geeez, why can't we compete with San Francisco? We've got more people? Ugghhh.. I don't understand? I guess the best thing to do is to keep bringing more shows through and hoping we can make build something special. We'll see. Well, I bet San Jose would win in the amount of friggin "MEAT MARKET" bars compared to San Francisco. Actually, that's a no contest!! SAN JOSE WINS!!

The show finished at a quarter past ten and we cleaned up and got out of there just past 11. Back to my house, Chuck Ragan, wife Jill, Matt Skiba, and Mike Hale all stayed over. Monica had prepared fresh pizza ingredients earlier in the day and we ate like Italians drinking leftover Miller Lite from my friend Gerry's last visit.

I stayed up late into the night catching up with Matt talking about everything and anything. I think i slept a wopping 3 hours, but here I am still going. Hopefully I can get a good nights sleep heading into the weekend. Maggie got up and got to meet a lot of new friends.
