We're at the BBC in London. This is very strange because I was scheduled to play on the BBC today, but I canceled because I was at the mercy of the Alkaline Trio in terms of travel....and lo and behold, they are playing the BBC today!! DOH!!! Wish I knew. That's ok though. They'll be another chance to do it. At least I hope there will be.

We were in the city of Nottingham last night. Nottingham is famous for......Robin Hood?? I'm not sure. Anyways, I made my way through the University there and did my usual people watching. Then to the shopping district. Damn....People sure love to shop here in England. I guess they like shopping everywhere, but on a Monday afternoon it was pretty packed. I tried to buy some sneakers as mine have holes on the bottom, but unfortunately I couldn't decide on anything. I found some shoes on sale for only 12 pounds, but they just didn't feel comfortable on my feet. The beauty of old shoes is that they just mold to your feet and feel great, but I'm probably doing my harm than good by wearing them.

Last nights show was amazing. I sold 61 cd's and met a lot of really sweet people whilst selling merchandise. I think I'm the only musician in the world that likes selling their own stuff. It's fun... After the show we packed up and just relaxed on the bus. With such a big crew of people on tour, my usual role of hanging out with the locals has been overturned by hanging out with all the people on tour. It's fun getting together at the end of the night eating leftover food, talking, drinking, watching movies, and just enjoying each others company. The British roll tobacco and hash into their cigarettes. Everyone was getting high around me and suddenly I was partaking in the festivities. We looked at pictures on my computer and laughed at photos of Gerry Lundquist. Damn, how do people do it every day??

I eventually made it up to my couch in the upstairs louge. My last memory is Danny/Derek putting on The Three Amigos. I tried desperately to stay up, but conked out sometime in the opening scenes. Ahhhhh...

MY MEALS YESTERDAY:
BREAKFAST:MISSED IT
LUNCH:FRIED CHICKEN, VARIOUS SALADS, and a GINGER CARROT SOUP
DINNER:TURKEY(KIND OF CORDON BLEU STYLE), CURRY SOUP, VARIOUS SALADS, AND THE BEST DESSERT ON THE TOUR SO FAR. BANANA FRITTERS and BREAD PUDDING
AFTER SHOW:BEANS AND RICE, FRUIT, BREAD PUDDING, and random CHIPS AND SALSA.

Peace,
Mike Park
