We're in friggin CANADA!! For some reason we were freakin out over the border. I hid all my cd's and t-shirts thinking they weren't gonna let us in if they knew I was playing living room shows. But after 2 minutes, they said "ENJOY YOUR STAY".. DOH!!

Oh well. That's ok. We just stopped at a TIM HORTONS for donuts and coffee. Chris has been tlaking this place up for the last 3 weeks, so we finally got to see it live and in person.

Only 2 hours til' we hit TORONTO. We're staying at Chris' relatives. It's been a long day, so I'm looking forward to getting to bed.

I played two shows today. It was hard leaving our friends in ADA, but every day brings us greater and greater adventures. Two shows in Livonia. Show #1 was at 5PM. Ben was our host. His band had learned old CHINKEES songs that I never even played live before in hopes that I would play with them. And I did. I did the songs BIG WORLD, JUSTICE, CLOUDING UP MY STORM, RUN FOR HELP, and a few more. It was strange, but fun. The second show was so close. Just 5 minutes away.

A few people from show number one came to show number 2. Held in the backyard, we came in to a pool side gathering with lots of food, lots of drinks, and lots of fun. Music was blasting and everyone seemed to be having fun. An 8 piece ska band named Pseudo Strike was playing. The guitar player was named Stephanie and it was her house. SHe rocked!! I kept thinking "I wish she lived in the bay area, we could start a band together"...

The next band up was a three piece that played pretty intense music, with a comical flair. The singer made lots of faces whilst rocking and then finished the show by doing a cannon ball into the pool . I was a little intimidated to play after a loud rock band, but my show went over well. Much better than I thought it would. The worst part of the evening was leaving. I really wanted to stay and get a chance to hang out more, but we needed to be in Canada to see Chris' relatives. ARGGHH!! Oh well. All is good. I'm exhausted, but that's ok. I'm gonna take a nap now and when I wake up I'll be in Toronto.
Peace,
Mike Park
