12:17 AM
I woke up at around 10 AM and was told that Thai's mom had made a huge breakfast. And they weren't kidding. More soup, BBQ, rice, salad, and damn I feel still so full from the previous days smorgasborg. I didnt' want to eat, but didn't want to be rude. I'm starting to wonder how in the world I'm gonna keep this up for an entire summer. Lots of living rooms with tons of food. How exciting eh??

I had fun talking to Thai's family. His sisters were all so cute and funny. His 1 year old neice wouldn't let go of my leg. She wanted me to pick her up, so I spent most of the morning holding her. It was cute. We got picked up at noon by a young woman named Alithea and a friend of hers whom I've forgotten the name of. ARGHHH!!! We headed to Seattle for show number ONE. There was a potluck waiting and we ate more food consisting of fruit salad, pasta salad, and potato salad.
Again, I wasn't even hungry, but I can't turn down food. ARgghhh... It's the death of me.

A group of three guys Patrick, Thomas, and Hiroshi came to the show from Bellevue. They were gonna give me a ride to the show in Olympia, so for the next 3 hours we hung out in Seattle, did a little sightseeing. Saw the Locks(Don't ask), saw Mt. Rainier, the space needle, and then headed to show #2. At around 6:30 PM we decided to try and find coffee. In particular a starbucks cause Patrick worked there and got 30% off. Starbucks in Washington....Should be an easy task eh? We exited four seperate times and couldn't find one. On our fifth, we found two and Patrick even got me a free box of green tea. Ahhhhh... How friggin nice.

We were about 40 minutes from Olympia. The house was actually about 10 miles south. Upon arrival, we saw this beautiful home. Badmitton in the backyard and a BBQ. WOOHOO!! I was actually pretty hungry. The host was named Jackson. He had a sister that dressed like someone who likes to go clubbing and listens to NELLY. I didn't even say hello to her. That's pretty mean of me eh? Oh well. jackson's dad went clamming and brought a huge bucket of clams and oysters to put on the BBQ. It was delicious and my mouth is still watering thinking of it.

It's funny because the playing music part of this tour seems more of an obstacle that gets in the way of eating. Pretty silly, but true. As soon as I finished playing we ate more food and I just kind of shook my head in both disbelief and pleasure. Plus a huge chocolate cake. Now I'm sitting here in the basement trying to collect my thoughts. There's a TV down here so maybe I'll watch a movie and go to sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZZ

7:19 PM
I'm 30,000 ft up headed back home from the mighty northwest. A good 10 hours sleep for me. When was the last time I slept 10 hours?? Don't know, but I'm glad it happened. Jackson's mom made breakfast, but I woke up so late I wasn't able to partake. I then invaded the fridge and made an omelette with onions and tomatoes. Yummmm...

We headed downtown for some thrift shopping. I got a couple shirts. Found a couple good jackets, but the zippers didn't work. DAMMNIT!! I liked downtown Olympia. There seemed to be a lot of interesting people. Cute girls in the thrift stores. Isn't that what's most important? And then we headed off to the airport. It was 3 PM upon arrival, but an hour and a half delay didn't get us out of there til' 5:45. UGGHH Monica and I walked around the airport and checked out the food court. We ate at WENDYS hoping to find a finger in our chili. Actually, we ate there because they had a value menu. Usually it's so expensive to eat the airport, but for 3 bucks I had a salad, baked potato, and a FROSTY. Monica had the same, just replace the baked potato with Chicken Nuggets.

Ahhhhh.... Fun weekend, but I feel pretty horrible. Too much food and no exercise. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. i guess it's not over. Actually, tomorrow is another BBQ in Santa Cruz. DOH!!
Peace,
Mike Park
