I ended up doing nothing last night except stare blankly at the boob tube and thumb through old issues of Love and Rockets. But sometimes those days of laziness are needed. Being productive is great, but being a sloth can really be a nice feeling once in awhile.

Looking back at tours that I've done through the years and the idea of having a day off to do nothing was like winning the friggin lottery. One time I played in Jackson Hole, Wyoming during SKI/SNOWBOARD season and me and my band got hooked up with free lift tickets and free board rental. What a deal and how could I pass up on something like that, but I opted to stay inside and just lie down with as little sunlight as possible. Doing nothing but staring blankly at the tv. Heaven.....At least on that day it was.

Tonight I'm going to see Garden State with Monica. We'll eat popcorn at nudge each other for no reason other than to acknowledge that we can do stuff like that. We're riding bikes to a theater that's kind of far away, so I'm gonna look at a map to see what route is the safest. Don't wanna get run over.

Tomorrow, we're going to Great America starting at 10 AM, then to Santa Cruz to hang out with friends. I've got to do some filming for a project with Miya, so I'll be heading to the east bay on Sunday and Monday. Should be fun fun fun. Be well y'all and have a beautiful weekend.
Peace always,
Mike Park

PS-I've been trying to come up with a contest for the punkvoter tour that I'm doing with Anti-Flag and this is what I've come up with. For each show I'm going to give away 2 tickets to one person. All I ask in return is that you buy my record. It's pretty selfish on my part, but this way I'll be able to save you money on tickets(you'll save around $25) and I'll get to share my music. Already have my record? Well, give it to somebody as a gift. Sound fair? I hope so. Here's a list of all the dates for the tour:
