9:41 AM

My mouth is full of food as I take big bites and then take my time chewing while typing. Then repeat. Had a beautiful weekend. The weather was unbelievable. The adrenaline from seeing Monica kept my body moving forward.

And though I was running on very little sleep, I just kept going. We hopped on bikes and headed out for lunch at our favorite vegan deli and then went for a brisk ride around San Jose. I did manage a short nap of about 40 minutes before we headed out to San Francisco to see the Cure.

We caught the 5 o' clock train and ended up in SF at 6:36 PM. A sea of over 30 ex-goth kids were milling about outside getting ready to catch up on their 80's dance moves. Included in this mix was me!! Luckily I didn't have to pay $50 for a ticket as my luck increased with the fact that Cursive was one of the openers and that meant FREE for ME!!

Me and Monica had all access passes, so we went exploring into the unknown territories of SBC PARK. This is where the SF GIANTS play baseball and it's huge. It fits 40,000 people. That is ridiculous. Anyways, we tried to get into the CURE'S dressing room, but even the all access passes didn't get us in there. But we did find catering and a huge buffett of foods.

And though my body was physically exhausted, the ability to traverse freely around this huge baseball stadium had me in giggles, just like a little kid. After eating more than I should have, we walked down to the stage level to see Cursive play.

They were on a small side stage next to the mammoth main stage. They sounded great, but it must have been a strange experience to be playing to approximately 13,000 people. Most of which were seated in the ballpark seats. But I think Cursive made new fans out this experience. Next up was the CURE. After a not too long wait of around 20 minutes, they were out and the crowd exploded. I wanted to hear hits, but their first 10 songs were all new tunes. ARggghhhh... Which was still quite good, but it started getting super cold, to the point of numbness.

Monica in particular was getting frostbitten due to her small frame and inability to perseverse in adverse conditions. So we left. A quick stroll over to Cursives bus to say goodbye and then we were off. Unfortunately the next train for San Jose didn't leave until after the concert ended, so we could still hear the songs floating through the air as we waited in a warmer climate. At 12:48 AM we arrived back in San Jose where it was at least 15 degrees warmer.

Oh the warmth!! The ride back home was on a busy cruising street called Santa Clara where lo-riders, hoochy mammas, and the woop woop club life was at full effect. Tons of scantily clad women were strutting down the streets as young men would woop it up in response. Argghhh!!! I hate it. It makes me nauseous. We got off the main street as fast as we could, but even several blocks away the sound of woop woop was still bumping. Do you know what I mean when I talk about woop woop?

Anyways, we arrived safe at home and ate some cookies and tea before bed. But as soon as my hed hit my pillow it was ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

PS-I've been trying to come up with a contest for the punkvoter tour that I'm doing with Anti-Flag and this is what I've come up with. For each show I'm going to give away 2 tickets. All I ask in return is that you buy my record. It's pretty selfish on my part, but this way I'll be able to save you money on tickets and I'll get to share my music. Already have my record? Well, give it to somebody as a gift. Sound fair? I hope so. Here's a list of all the dates for the tour:
