Happy Tuesday!! The weekend of course blurred by. Heavy rain barreled down on Southern California as the warm California sun was absent, but at the same time the need for rain was more than apparent down south.

After a kick ass show in Santa Barbara, we packed up and conveyed to Santa Monica where myself, Kevin Seconds, Brian Hannover, Jesse Michaels, Michael Hugenor, Morgan Herrell, Max Feshbach, and host Chris Candy crashed for the night. In a 2 bedroom apartment, grown men scattered throughout the floor including 2 in the kitchen. Of course I brought no camera, so there's no visual documentation, but yup.. fun and luxury.

Jesse woke up Friday morning with a sore throat, which of course I now carry in my phlegm filled vocal region. Yes, I am now sick. Anyways, Friday's show in Hollywood was cancelled. At noon we got a call from the promoter telling us that the club was shut down by the health inspector. We spent the next 2 hours trying to find an alternate show and by hour 1400 we were now situated at JUANITAS in Highland Park. A Mexican restaurant that turned out to be the most perfect venue. And what was to be a disastrous night of cancelation turned into an amazing show of extraordinary magnitude.

I have a new favorite place to play in the S. CAL area. It's called Juanitas. Great food, great people, and they support art. The walls are clad with photos, paintings, and blah blah blah. Good place to play.

It was a short blast of shows for me. I headed home Saturday morning, while the rest of the convoy headed to RIVERSIDE and then San Diego. Back to the grind of running a record label. It's not so bad though.
Peace,
Mike Park
